Ganzhou, Jiangxi | September 15–19 — To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, the "Serving the Country via Energy: Seeking Light at the Frontline" field study tour, organized by China Energy Media Group Co., Ltd. and executed by China Energy Media (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. The event organized representatives from the national energy and electric power sectors to visit the old revolutionary base areas of Yudu and Ruijin, tracing the red footprints of the Long March and conducting in-depth field exchanges on the frontlines of energy production and construction. As the co-organizer of this event, Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. (Debo Energy) participated fully throughout the program, represented by Vice General Managers Lu Wanbao and Zhao Chengwu.

Tracing Red Footprints to Inspire the Mission of Serving the Nation Through Energy

The year 2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. This study tour moved the classroom into revolutionary sanctuaries, fostering deep reflection on the original mission among energy practitioners while promoting industrial exchange and cooperation to leverage the contemporary power of the Great Long March Spirit.

During the program, participants visited benchmark projects including the Huaneng Qinmei Ruijin Power Plant and the SPIC Shangyoujiang Hydroelectric Power Plant to observe large-scale power generation and grid operations. At the Central Red Army Long March Departure Memorial Park, they revisited the historic moment of the Red Army's gathering and departure at the Long March Ferry. Visits to historical revolutionary sites in Yeping and the Red Well instilled a profound appreciation for the mass line spirit of "never forgetting those who dug the well when drinking water." Participants also visited local operational stations, such as the Yudu County Power Supply Company and the Shazhouba Power Supply Depot in Ruijin, to conduct field research on rural grid upgrading and clean energy development in old revolutionary areas.

"Traveling from Ruijin to Yudu was a continuous journey of learning and reflection that allowed us to deeply feel the rock-solid faith of the revolutionary pioneers in adversity," said Zhao Chengwu, Vice General Manager of Debo Energy. Seeking Light at the Frontline: Presenting a Green Answer from Biomass Energy Pioneers

As a national high-tech enterprise with 18 years of deep cultivation in the field of biomass gasification, Debo Energy was founded by Chairman Zhang Shoujun, who was born in the revolutionary region of Jinzhai. The enterprise's identity is anchored in this heritage, consistently fulfilling the mission of serving the nation by driving the resource utilization of agricultural and forestry wastes and supporting rural revitalization alongside “dual-carbon” targets through technological innovation.

During the event, Lu Wanbao and Zhao Chengwu engaged in extensive discussions with representatives from China's top five power generation groups, the State Grid system, and industrial chain partners. Topics covered industry hotspots such as biomass gas-coal coupling for power generation, local integration of renewable energy, and distributed rural energy station development.

During a field investigation in Hongjingyuan Village, Yudu, Zhao Chengwu shared insights based on Debo's experience across more than 200 operational biomass gasification projects nationwide: "The old revolutionary base areas made immense sacrifices for the revolution; today, clean energy is needed to inject momentum into rural revitalization. Debo's self-developed biomass pyrolysis and gasification technology effectively converts agricultural and forestry wastes—such as straw, rice husks, and sawdust—into clean biogas, thermal energy, and high-value-added products. This turns agricultural waste into valuable rural development resources, benefiting local farmers. It is highly aligned with the theme of ‘Serving the Nation Through Energy’."

During the dedicated seminar session, Zhao Chengwu systematically introduced Debo’s technical achievements in biomass gasification poly-generation, Biomass gas-coal coupling for power generation, biomass gasification for natural gas and hydrogen production. He also highlighted the company’s receipt of the Second Prize of National-level Sci-tech Progress Award and its portfolio of nearly 100 authorized patents, receiving high recognition from attending industry representatives.

Translating Knowledge into Action: Converting Long March Spirit into Worksite Momentum

On the afternoon of September 18, the study tour concluded with a results-sharing session and graduation ceremony in Ruijin. Lu Wanbao and Zhao Chengwu, representing the co-organizer, joined the main organizers and supporting organizations in awarding completion certificates to the participants.
