The 10t steam boiler project through bamboo scraps gasification co-generating biochar was completed and put into operation in 2018. The steam generated by the boiler has been used for heating in the plant area, saving users 9.6 million yuan in cost every year, consuming about 32,000 tons of bamboo chips annually. It can replace 0.9 million tons of standard coal every year, representing a reduction on CO2 emission by 23,000 tons. The emission concentration of boiler tail gas pollutants can meet the emission standards of natural gas boilers. All bamboo charcoal is sold to make other high-value carbon products. There is no emissions of tar, sewage or ash for the entire system.
