The project was officially put into operation in March 2022. In this project, straw, rice husk and other agricultural and forestry wastes have been used as feedstock, and two downdraft fixed bed gasifiers are used to supply heat for 10t/t boiler, co-generating biochar. Since its operation, it has treated 30,000 tons of agricultural and forestry waste annually, provided 75,000 tons of steam annually, produced 10,000 tons of biochar annually. It has replaced 13,200 tons of standard coal, meaning a reduction on CO2 emissions by 32,900 tons annually. The emission of the boiler tail gas meets the emission standards of natural gas boilers. All biochar has been sold as carbon products. There is no emissions of tar, sewage or ash for the entire system.
