Project name
Wood Chip Gasification Project for Heating Kiln Co-generating Biochar in Malaysia
Project date
Feb, 2021
Project overview

The project, located in Malaysia, was put into service in 2021. The wood chips have been used as the feedstock for the biomass gasifier to produce biogas and biochar which is used to make machine-made charcoal. Since its operation, the annual consumption of wood chips is 4,500 tons, the annual gas heating is 37.7 GJ, and the annual output of mu of charcoal is about 630 tons. The biochar is used to make machine-made charcoal. There is no emissions of tar, sewage or ash for the entire system.
