Hu Jiandong and Wang Haimin, full-time directors of State Power Investment Group Co., Ltd., Chen Guanwen, expert member of hydrogen-based green energy industry, and relevant leaders of Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd. visited Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. for investigation and view exchange on Nov 28, 2024, and gained a good understanding of the application stage and future development of biomass gasification high-value utilization technology.

Mr. Zhang Shoujun, board director of Hefei Debo, expressed sincere welcome to the delegation. In the subsequent meeting, Zhang comprehensively and deeply analyzed the industrialized application prospect of biomass gasification technology, and elaborated it from many dimensions such as biomass gasification for poly-generation of biogas and biochar, fossil fuel-biomass blending, and green chemical engineering.

He pointed out that introducing biogas generated by biomass gasification into coal-fired units for coupled combustion can not only reduce the carbon emission intensity of coal-fired units significantly, but also help to improve the flexibility of units and the efficiency of biomass power generation. Since the gasification technology has low requirement on biomass quality, all kinds of straw can be simply crushed, which greatly reduces the cost on pretreatment and operation. The implementation not only helps to promote the optimization and upgrading of China’s energy structure, but also provides strong support for the low-carbon transformation of the global energy industry.

Hu Jiandong and Wang Haimin, two full-time directors, said that efficient utilization of biomass resources is a strategic opportunity for the future development of State Power Investment Group, and biomass gasification technology is the key path to achieve this goal since State Power has been actively committed to the development of clean energy and renewable energy. Biomass gasification technology not only has broad development prospects, but also bears the important mission of realizing the goal of “double carbon” (carbon peak and carbon neutrality) in China. During this visit, the technical routes of biomass carbon-gas co-production, coupled power generation and synthesis of biomethanol were mainly discussed. They expect Hefei Debao to continue to give full play to its technological innovation advantages and make greater contributions to the country’s energy transformation and green development.
