The project was completed and put into operation in May 2013. The gas generated through rice husk gasification has been used for power generation. The annual consumption of rice husk is 29,600 tons, and the annual power generation is 16 million kW h. The yearly output of rice husk charcoal is about 9,000 tons. It has replaced standard coal by 13,400 tons per year, representing a reduction on CO2 emissions by 35,600 tons. Rice husk charcoal is sold to make other high-value carbon products. There is no emissions of tar, sewage or ash for the entire system.
